Petroleum embodies five forms in motion, passing energy between them; a visual metaphor for community. During my addiction, I shut people out. Recovery began when I reconnected. First through a 12-step fellowship, then by letting my friends and family back in. This piece captures the shift from isolation to connection, and the strength I found in that.
