Spoken 2

The inspiration for this series of work called "Spoken" is the mixed emotions I've experienced as an up and coming artist. Before starting this series I felt blocked creatively, fed up of investing time and money trying to progress my artistic career, but not achieving the success that I was aiming for. The all too frequent moments of disappointment and frustration left me feeling burnt out creatively, and questioning why I'm pursing something that feels more negative than positive.

For this series I used my unfiltered thoughts and feelings to create pieces which are unapologetically vulnerable and authentic. An undercurrent of fierce passion flows through each piece. Both sides of my relationship with art are exposed, providing insight into how it feels to be an artist that is trying to grow and develop creatively.
